Empire's Gatekeeper

Empire's Gatekeeper is a strategy and inspection simulation game driven entirely by mouse controls, developed in WOLF RPG Editor. Players take on the role of Till, a decorated war veteran unexpectedly reassigned to a low-level post at the newly established Pass Management Bureau. Positioned at an imperial border checkpoint, your primary task is to manage travelers seeking passage. You must meticulously verify their documentation for discrepancies, assess whether applicants pose a security threat, and decide whether to approve their entry or turn them away. As you clear stages, you unlock an expanding roster of inspection commands to examine applicants more thoroughly. The game balances a serious narrative backdrop with interactive 2D character standing art and mature 18+ content. Players are given the freedom to choose their operational style: you can strictly perform your duties to build official trust and maintain decorum, or exploit your absolute authority over travelers for personal gain. Along with interacting with various dynamic applicant characters at the checkpoint, the game features key story-driven event scenes with dedicated CGs for main characters, offering multiple route variations based on how you conduct your duties at the border.
